Live Wedding Illustration at Wasing Park Estate
This spring I was invited to illustrate at Lily and Liam’s wedding at the beautiful Wasing Park Estate in Berkshire.
I love illustrating at Wasing Park as it’s such a unique offering as a wedding venue. It’s a quintessentially English setting, where they have restored the traditional farm hamlet of Wasing. Romantic farm buildings sit alongside the 15th century Parish Church of St Nicholas, as well as the beautiful grade II listed Castle Barn.
They also have stunning gardens surrounding the site and I am usually set up in the garden room, which is the perfect location to capture guest portraits as they enjoy their drinnks reception on the lawn.

Having a live illustrator at your wedding is such a wonderful way to entertain your guests, as well as giving them a beautiful wedding favour as a memento of the day.
I often have guests telling me they don’t always enjoy having their photo taken but they love their illustrated portrait as it captures them in a differnt way.
With my portraits I aim to capture the personality of the guests, not just their physical attributes. My stylised portraits are fun and colourful and they reflect the joy of the occassion.
I also love the opportunity to chat to guests and engage them in the process. Many of them have never seen a live illustrator at an event before so they love seeing their portrait come to life in front of their eyes.
