Dreaming Of Booking A live Illustrator For Your Luxury London Wedding?

Photo of me illustrating at The Hoxton Hotel by Caitlin and Jones

I've been privileged to illustrate guests at some beautiful London venues over the last couple of years. I’m based in Reading, just 30 minutes from Paddington, so I can easily travel to London venues based more centrally, or in the outer boroughs of London.

A wedding in a London venue, will often mean that the couple have their ceremony at a legal venue such as Marylebone Town Hall, with the reception held at a range of venues in the city centre, from luxurious, to quirky, unique and intimate.

I’ve often found that London weddings are a celebration of mixed heritage weddings, as well as LGBTQ couples. Wedding fairs like The Un Wedding Show are a great place to find wedding suppliers that will celebrate you and your unique celebration.

Wedding Venues In London I Love

These are a few of the London wedding venues I’ve been invited to illustrate at. I always love working with couples celebrating their love in a range of unusual and memorable venues.

Brunswick House

Back in May this year I illustrated at a beautiful wedding at Brunswick House which was such an interesting and unusual venue.  It's an antique-filled Grade ll* Georgian mansion, built for the Duke of Brunswick in 1758.

You can book out the private rooms for a wedding party and I was based in the atmospheric study, surrounded by taxidermy and curious artefacts.

These photos are by photographer Sophie Barloc and they capture the mood and sophistication of Heather and Stephen’s wedding beautifully.

The Hoxton Hotel

I illustrated guests at Natalie and Robert’s wedding in 2023 at the Hoxton Hotel in Holborn. They have a fantastic apartment suite that you can hire out for your wedding reception, and I was based in a separate room off to the side of the drinks reception and wedding breakfast. It meant that I had plenty of space to work on a large table set up in the room, and I took photos of guests to work from for my illustrated portraits.

We booked Helen for our London wedding last weekend. We were blown away by how awesome she was, everyone loved the idea and said how unique it was. It really added an element of magic to our day.

I also collaborated with videographer Heart Shaped Films who captured me at work painting portraits to create a the beautiful video below:

Cambridge Cottage, Kew Gardens

Cambridge Cottage is a unique venue located in Kew Gardens in London. It has numerous rooms for different parts of the day, including the option to have your wedding ceremony as well as your wedding reception. The venue gardens look out over Kew Gardens which creates a stunning backdrop to your day.

Helen’s illustration magic was part of our wedding and so beloved by our guests!
We not only adored the styles of the portraits and the joy of the guests, but the kind and creative wonderfulness that Helen’s drawings brought to our special day! We are so grateful!

The Libertine, London

The Libertine is a stunning bar and restaurant venue in the heart of the City of London on the Royal Exchange.

It is an underground venue which feels very exclusive and intimate, and it was the perfect setting for H&C’s wedding when I illustrated there last year.

These are a few of the portraits I captured on the day, including glamorous bridesmaids, cute pageboys and a mother and son.

Helen completed incredible portraits of our wedding guests. From start to finsih she was so easy to communicate with and all of our guests loved their portraits as wedding favours. Would recommend her to anyone. Thank you so much Helen!
