Live Pet Portraits at The Cotswold Company

This January, I was invited to paint live pet portraits at The Cotswold Company in Chichester for their housewarming event to celebrate their new store opening.

Customers could get a free portrait of their dog if they made a purchase in store, plus they got a goody bag too!  It was such a unique customer experience for the pet owner and a treasured gift for them to take away.

There were also beautiful bouquets by Floral Artist Bex Partridge and I painted an illustration of one of these too. My floral illustrations remind me that spring is on its way and my work is often influenced by spring fashion and floral patterns. 

Plus customers could sample soft drinks from Fentimans and locally made English Sparkling Wine from Gusbourne Wine. Including live illustration at this event was a great idea for the store opening and created a memorable experience for everyone involved.

It was a really fun event and I loved meeting customers and their pets. Below are some examples of my favourite custom, hand illustrated, watercolour pet portraits. There was a mixture of smaller and larger breeds as well as fluffy cats.
